Due to a tight schedule, Knowles flew in on the same day as she began her five-date Australian tour at Acer Arena, Olympic Park.
"It was great,'' she said when asked how her flight had been.
"I feel wonderful. I'm looking forward to entertaining my Australian fans.''
Despite having flown more than 12 hours direct from Los Angeles, her flight landing at 6.25am, Knowles looked glamorous and energised.
Clearing Customs in about 25 minutes and whisked through Sydney Airport's VIP exit, Knowles had obviously spent some time freshening up.
Wearing jeans, a white T-shirt, black hoodie and scarf, Knowles looked as though she could have jumped up on stage there and then.
Knowles' American rapper boyfriend Jay-Z was rumoured to be travelling with the singer, although he was nowhere to be seen at the airport.
Patient fans, sisters Tina, 20, and Helen Szilagy, 23, asked for a photograph but the singer only stopped briefly to sign an autograph.
"We love her music and she was so friendly,'' they said.
"We were quite lucky to get her autograph - it was the highlight of our week.''
Knowles plays the Brisbane Entertainment Centre today and has a day off tomorrow.
She then performs three days straight - Tuesday in Adelaide, Wednesday in Melbourne and Sydney again on Thursday, before heading for Europe.Labels: Australian Tours |
